Making notes

Pro users have the facility to add their own notes.

There are currently four places where notes may be added:

Notes on a Result or Racecard

This note will only appear on that Racecard or Result.

The date and time the note was added.
 2
The user who added the note.
 3
Command link to delete the note. Only the user that added that note will be able to perform this command.
 4
Command link to edit the note. Only the user that added that note will be able to perform this command.
 5
Use this selection if you want to keep the note you added only visible to yourself. Secret notes will only be visible when you are logged in.

Notes entered here will be visible to everyone except if you used "Do not share note with others" option. This is a good way to share information with others.

So you may enter notes to share or notes just for yourself.

Adding a note for a horse on a card or result

Each horse has a few markers. Some will only be visible when the user is logged in.

One of the markers (see below) is the notes icon. Notes for a horse is only available to Pro users. The notes markers (or icons) look like this:

The notes marker or icon when there is no note There is no note.
The notes marker or icon when there is a note The logged in user has added one or more notes.

When a user clicks on a notes icon the system will pop up a window.

Important points regarding horse notes:

Note 1 The horse notes system was changed from the way it worked in version 2 of Formgrids. The way it works now was requested by a select group of racing experts who indicated to the software developer that "horse race punters do not share information".
Note 2 Showing a note for horse by a race was also an expert request. However, there is an idea to have an "Notes Viewer" where a user can view and filter all his notes he has made.
